Two bike rides, one to a local airfield (any bets who planned that one?) I really do not like the fact that Bobby has been researching the cost of flying lessons. It bodes ill both for our finances and for my peace of mind. But see how wistful his little face is as he looks at the planes.
Sunday morning found us on the North Downs, on top of Reigate Hill. We took a flask of tea with us; it is nice living in a place where that sort of behaviour is considered normal. I really like this photo...
Oh, and Saturday was a date night for us - we ate out (at a place that Bobby'd been to with work people, surprisingly delicious food), and then saw a wonderful film at the Barbican - The Visitor. It's set in New York, and is the story of a burned-out professor who gets to know a couple of illegal immigrants - I highly recommend it, it's excellent. We drove into the theatre instead of following our usual routine and taking the train; it was nice to travel through bits of the city that we don't normally see, but the traffic was hellish so it took forever; think we'll stick with the train in future.
So it was a good weekend. And work was okay today - not much happening, though, as things have really wound down for the summer. Just one more day before I'm officially on holiday for six glorious weeks!
One more (slightly blurred) picture - Emily and Bobby on their way out this morning. Ems is doing her week of work experience (compulsory for Year 10's) at Bobby's work; here they are about to walk out of the front door. Doesn't Emily look grown up??
