Today did not get off to a good start.

I slipped getting out of the shower, fell hard, and thwacked my shin, resulting in a painful (and ugly) cut/swelling/bruise combo. No doubt it will look even more appealing tomorrow when as the bruising changes colour. And my day didn't really improve thereafter; I felt ill and tired and miserable all day at work. I think I must be coming down with something.

However, despite this Bobby and I will be heading out in a few minutes. We're going to see The Lives of Others. It's got really great reviews ... but, if it weren't for the fact that I don't want to waste the £12 that we've spent on the tickets (we bought them on Monday) I'd really rather spend tonight tucked up under my duvet.
