We spent much of today anxiously scanning Soph's tummy. She has seven spots on it. Two of them look just as I remember chicken pox. Red, with the little blister in the middle. The other five are just red. We looked at them this morning and thought - Oh. Chicken pox. But no new spots have appeared in the last twelve hours, and the spots that are just red don't seem to be doing anything chicken-poxy. So maybe (hopefully!) it is not chicken pox after all.
If it is going to be chicken pox - and I guess we'll know in the morning - it's really annoying timing, since school (and work, and Steve's exams) starts again tomorrow after this past weeks' break.
Steve has been working flat-out these past few days. It's hard to watch someone working for exams; there's not much one can do to help, other than do their laundry and cook for them. And try to shut their little sisters up.
At least he's had chicken pox.
