Gorgeous sunny day today - first really nice day in absolute ages.
We drove down to Dover and stumbled upon a place named Samphire Hoe, beneath the famous white cliffs. Interestingly, this area was created from all the debris created in digging the channel tunnel. It is a lovely place to walk - wild flowers, butterflies and birds abound.
So, we picnicked, read the paper, and then walked to the beach, where we paddled and played on the rocks.
The beach. Pebbles and cliffs.

Me.
Being close to the sea always makes me feel at peace.
I feel very guilty because Sophie's arms are little pink this evening. It's been so long since we've had any real sun that it didn't occur to me to put sunscreen on anyone.
Killing time right now till I can leave to fetch Ems from her party. I hope she had a good time. She looked beautiful when she left ... She's growing up very fast.
