made breakfast - if you can call making a pot of tea and tossing cereal and yoghurt in the kids' general direction "making breakfast"
walked the kids to the corner and waved goodbye to them
walked to work
worked
walked home
washed the breakfast dishes
baked banana muffins
washed the prep dishes
realised that I have officially become an old fart. Ems gave me a tour around all her friends' Bebo pages, and the text speak, the flashy things, the pink, the sparkles - it was all too much for me.
made lentil soup
made cheese scones
had a cup of tea and read some blogs while the kids did the supper dishes
did a load of laundry
hauled out the camping gear
checked the climbing gear
cleaned out the car
packed clothes for the weekend
was surprised to see that Ems has completely outgrown last summer's swim suit. We had such a long period where she stayed the same size that it still startles us when her clothes become too small. Thank God for modern medicines.

No work for me tomorrow, as I will be going to an all-day workshop on helping kids with Asperger's deal with a mainstream classroom.

And as soon as Bobs gets home tomorrow evening, we're leaving to go camping, climbing, and possibly canoeing here. I can't wait. I've been feeling like a hamster on a treadmill recently; hopefully getting away for the weekend will break the cycle.
