We went climbing yesterday, at Harrisons Rocks, about an hour away from us.

The cliffs are not all that impressive, but it is so close and accessible (and pretty) that we'll definitely be visiting again. The only thing that marred the outing was Emily's mood. Most of the time she is very sunny-natured and pleasant; every now and then, however, she has a day where she does nothing but whine and try to pick fights with her siblings. She had moments of reasonable behaviour yesterday, but for the most part, if you picture a yippy scrabbly shrill snarling chihuahua you'll have her. I think the trigger for yesterday's outbreak was probably being thoroughly outclimbed by Stephen. Nothing helps when she's in the throes of one these episodes either; one just has to wait for it to pass and try not to strangle her meanwhile.
