Bobby had heard good things about Vonage (an internet phone service), so we're trying it out this week. It has all kind of neat features - you can get your voice-mail emailed to you, for instance. Only, we can't quite seem to get all the nifty features enabled. Bobby has spent the whole of this evening wrestling with the set-up. During this period where we are trialling Vonage, Bobs has set it up so that calls to our BT (British Telecom) landline are forwarded to the Vonage home number, and - if no-one answers at home - forwarded on again, to his mobile. Only, at one stage the voicemails (BT, Vonage and mobile) all seemed to be fighting with one another; he called the Vonage number from his mobile phone and got into a very confusing voicemail loop. Anyway, so the phone has been ringing all evening but it's never an actual call, it's always just Bobby experimenting. At one stage he was calling the phone in his left hand with the phone in his right hand, and claiming that his left ear was having a conversation with his right ear. And these are the genes my children have inherited, God help them.
