We got up early - were running through this field of poppies by 6.30.
Then chores, then shopping with Emily for her forthcoming trip to Spain, then a haircut for me (oh how I hate the awkwardness of making conversation with my hairdresser...) and a trip to the library. Bobby's flying his plane this afternoon, and the kids and I have been watching the football (more them than me, I don't have the heart now that Ghana's out) and reading the papers. Just about to take Emily and her boyfriend to a party...
These lazy weekends, now that term is winding down so that I don't have any marking or prep to do, are absolutely heavenly.
