After dinner tonight Sophie and I watched
the teen movie that arrived today from
Lovefilm. (Emily had already seen it when it was on circuit, and Stephen and Bobby care not for cheesy girly movies). I didn't have very high expectations of the film, but it was surprisingly enjoyable, in a sweetly predictable way. And a bonus was the fact that the film is set in Eastbourne, so we recognised places where we'd walked. They filmed on this pier, for instance -

and we saw a shot, taken from the pier, very similar to the one below.

The film's main effect on me, though, was to make me desperately, desperately grateful that I survived my own teenage years and never, ever, have to re-live all that angst.

Man, you're not kidding. Angst, it is flowing around here.
I love the word snogging. I love that because of HP, it is used by all of Emma's friends now ;)
Yes I know just what you mean, I'm glad I don't have to re-live those years. Just watching my 13 year old navigate them is enough. Love the photos,I'll have to look out for the movie now.
