The week has been mostly a blur of teaching and marking, though my midweek tearful can't-cope interlude does stand out as a low point. It was only the next day that I realised why I'd been so weepy. You'd think that by my age my cycle would not take me by surprise every single month.
We watched a good movie tonight - Waitress. Sweet and funny without being too sentimental. But tell me this. How come the Guardian, usually my paper of choice, is pretty much guaranteed to give any film I like a dire review? Any answers I come up with seem to have the words "pretentious" and "up themselves" somewhere in them.
Right now I'm tucked up in bed with my darling Sophie. Very peaceful - though it may be the calm before the storm, because I plan to get an awful lot done this weekend. Bike rides, cleaning, family time, PGCE stuff, and of course lesson preparation for next week. Wish me luck!
