Ewww

I joined our local Freecycle list a while ago. It's a great way to get rid of things that are too good to throw away but not good enough to bother trying to sell. Things like Milly's old bunk bed, for instance. People give all sorts of useful stuff away - things like bread machines and rocking chairs and kitchen tables. And books - I got a new copy of Bill Bryson's A Short History of Nearly Everything a while ago. (The giver said she and her husband didn't read at all, so it was just clutter to them). So I think Freecycle is a very cool thing. But every now and then there's a post that gives me pause. Like this one from yesterday:

Offered: Pink Dressing gown, with the name Harriet on it. Would fit 13 year olds Plus (Approx size 10) Needs a wash.

Shudder.
