However, it was lovely being outside in the sun, so it's not all bad. It felt like summer all day today, and all day yesterday too. It's been glorious - it feels like being released from prison, to be able to go outside in t-shirts and shorts, and not have to worry about coats and scarves and hats and gloves.
We went for a really nice bike ride early this morning - rode to the climbing gym to pick up a guide for the crags at Portland (on the coast, about three hours drive from us). If the weather holds, we think we'll go down there next weekend and do some climbing on the sea cliffs there. We had toyed with the idea of going today, but we didn't have a guidebook, and - more importantly - we were dead tired. We spent yesterday in Beccles with my parents, my cousin and her husband, and their staggeringly cute baby boy.

It was a lovely day, but it's three hours drive each way, so we got home very late last night and when the alarm went off at six this morning we realised we just couldn't face getting up and setting out in the car again. Particularly as this is the last day of the Easter holidays, so it's back to the grindstone for the kids and me tomorrow.
Oh, and speaking of amazingly cute babies - Bobby has an appointment tomorrow with the doctor; he's finally plucked up the courage to do something about getting that vasectomy. I don't know how long the wait to get one on the NHS is, but this is the first step. I am so glad that I have finally got to the stage where I really do not want another baby. I didn't think it would ever happen - I thought I'd be broody forever. But, while I loved the baby and toddler stages when my children were in them, and while I still love other people's babies and toddlers, I really don't want to do it all again. It'd be like going back instead of going forward.
