Bobby and I went climbing by ourselves last night at the local climbing gym - just the two of us, no kids. Exhausting physically, relaxing mentally. Sort of tragic, how weak we are compared to 18 months ago - we have all the technique we used to have, just none of the strength. It is a weird feeling, knowing exactly how to make a move, but being completely unable to make your body execute it. But, if we start climbing regularly again - and we think we will - we should get back to our old form fairly soon.

Today has been taken up with shopping, mainly. Returning the freeview box to Curry's, home of the world's most disinterested customer service staff, taking the girls to IKEA so they could spend some of their money on this cool swingy chair, (it's big enough for both of them to sit in at the same time), and picking up some groceries. Such a pleasure to have a whole day to spend on this sort of thing, instead of squishing it all into a frantic hour or two afer work. Back to work on Monday, alas...
