I had a crappy day at work yesterday, followed by a slightly exhausting early evening (Sophie had a friend over for "tea" which, in this context, means "after-school playdate that includes supper"), but the evening was completely redeemed when the five of us watched
Little Miss Sunshine. Sweet, funny, and unsentimental - it was wonderful. There are some parts which I wouldn't normally consider appropriate for a nine year old to watch, but, in the context of the movie, I don't think they were at all harmful to Sophie (or the older two, for that matter.) It's not often that we come across a film that the whole family loves, but this was one.

I like that definition of tea.
You know I dream of moving there one day and saying things like "tea and crumpets" and "poppycock"
My kids think it is hilarious.
:)
We got Little Miss Sunshine in the mail last week from our NetFlix-like service and I think we will watch it tonight. I'm looking forward to it. :)
One of my very favorite movies of all time! I let my nine and seven year olds see it, too. Our whole family loves it.
We, too, loved 'Little Miss Sunshine'.
One of our top 10 this year.
