We've been having one of those bored, grey, aimless days where the kids bicker endlessly and nothing seems like fun.

I think if we went out and did something the mood would change, but I just don't have the energy to get it together to orchestrate that.

Bleh.

Times like this I actually wish the kids liked watching TV. It'd be a lot more peaceful right now if they'd just turn it on and veg out in front of it.

Oh, and those office chairs on wheels, the ones that you can spin round and round on, and slide across the room on, and use to bash into other people's chairs? Bad invention. Avoid them. Seriously.

Also, the sound of a soccer ball being slammed repeatedly against the iron verandah railings, making the railings rattle noisily and causing the entire house to vibrate, can cause annoyance that verges on the murderous.

I'm just saying.
