The parting wasn't as bad as it could have been. Horrible, but - since we plan to see my folks over the summer - not unbearable.

The house is weirdly empty this evening ... it feels all wrong. Sort of echoey and sad.

And in keeping with the general mood of doom and gloom, Ugh - or possibly Bugh - has died. Poor thing, it had a short and unhappy life. And Bugh - or possibly Ugh - doesn't look terribly healthy either. I fear its days are numbered.
